The Forest Creek is an entertainment and marketing media production brand dedicated to the craft of multimedia storytelling, the exploration of ideas, and the enrichment of audiences.
Named after the neighborhood of its humble origin, The Forest Creek began as a creative space for friends in pursuit of their passions for narrative, media, learning and art. As our hobbies became professions, our unique quest for expression became a mission to use our talents in aid of others; helping them tell their stories and share their ideas in the most compelling manner possible. Combining our skills, knowledge and experience from unique backgrounds across various academic fields, professional industries and independent projects, The Forest Creek now offers full-service media production, individually tailored to fit our clients’ voices, brands and businesses. Raphael Shehata
Founder & Executive Producer
Ordained with a proactive imagination, and compelled by a fascination with the magic of expression, Raph is the visionary Founder and ever-ambitious Executive Producer of The Forest Creek. Accredited academically for English Literature (UFV) and Broadcast Media (BCIT), as well as professionally in Marketing for technology and real estate industries, Raph is a talented marketing and content production strategist, with a flair for creative projects and a passion for narrative craft. His extensive background includes writing, direction, production and acting for independent and professional projects of both stage and screen, as well as multiple published journalistic articles, creative fiction stories, and poetry, equipping him with a comprehensive knowledge on bringing ideas to life. Raph is furthermore the host and producer of The Forest Creek podcast, where he continues to hone his audio production skills while indulging his boundless curiosity.
Andres "A.D." Dias
Production Diector
Andres (AD) is the brilliant mind behind The Forest Creek's video media projects. As our lead Production Director, AD's creative genius serves to assemble cinematography and visual artistry across both entertainment projects and media services. A long-time devotee of the cinematic arts, he has spent numerous hours behind a camera lens throughout his storied career of independent projects and award-winning film festival entries. Gifted with a resolute sense of artistic vision and unfailing integrity, as well as equipped with the skills and experience to bring a dream to the screen, AD always strives to elevate his craft to an unparalleled quality of captivation. Regardless of the subject or medium, Andres' excellent capability for adaptive production planning and guerilla filmmaking enables him to make a lot from a little, keeping the project on time, and often under budget. When he isn't rolling film on set, or devising detailed shot plans, AD can be found in the midst of intellectual banter with his colleagues or deep inside of a philosophical text.
Jarrod Regan
Post Production Manager
As Post-Production Manager at The Forest Creek, Jarrod is the dedicated digital craftsman who ensures the quality delivery of all media projects. Always aspiring to elevate his artistic skills to meet his unbridled passion for expression, Jarrod's love of learning has served to consistently enhance and improve his skills. A powerhouse of post-production management and strategy, he also brings a mastery of editorial timing and finesse, alongside a proficiency in cinematic coloring, honed and developed from his career in the post-production industry, the Art Institute of Vancouver, missionary videography, professional filmography, as well as countless independent and hobbyist projects. Characterized by his boundless kindness, optimism and generosity, the set is always put at ease by Jarrod's endlessly friendly and good-humored demeanor. Committed to bringing ideas to life with the sophisticated quality and well-orchestrated execution they deserve, Jarrod can always be counted on to lend his technical expertise, creative vision, and proactive attitude to the completion of any project.
Mish Mish
Chaircat of the Board
Mish Mish, translated to 'apricot' in Arabic, has sat as our official mascot since the founding of The Forest Creek, when it was merely a hobbyist pursuit. When not preoccupied with fuzzy blankets or the relocation of his favorite red ball, Mish Mish typically supervises The Forest Creek HQ, greeting guests and screening visitors, as well as ruthlessly exterminating the occasional insect intruder. A stoic to strangers, a hedonist for neck rubs, and a forceful negotiator (particularly during nocturnal hours), Mish Mish also harbors a proclivity for animated television and connoisseurship of all things fish-flavored. He once appeared in The Forest Creek's entertainment content, where he first made his debut as a kitten actor, but has since refused offers for television syndication.
